The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has appointed Chris Edmonds as its new chair.
Mr Edmonds takes over after serving on the Tattoo board for eight years, succeeding Bill Morris LVO, who steps down after 12 years in the role.
His appointment comes after the Tattoo celebrated its 75th anniversary and delivered a record £1.5 million donation to charity.
Held annually on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, the event attracts around 230,000 spectators each year and a global television audience of more than 100 million.
Since it began in 1950, the Tattoo has raised more than £14.5 million for military, arts and charitable organisations through its charitable parent company.
Mr Edmonds brings more than 35 years of experience in the UK live events industry and is regarded as a major figure within the entertainment sector.
The Tattoo is due to return this August with its 2026 production, A Call to Gather, running from August 7 to 29 at Edinburgh Castle Arena.
