Aldi is set to invest millions in upgrading stores across Scotland this summer.
The supermarket chain has announced that stores in Musselburgh, Aberdeen, Montrose and Polmont will undergo improvements as part of a wider £300 million investment programme.
The refurbishment programme will see 25 stores upgraded, with improvements designed to enhance the shopping experience while supporting the retailer's sustainability goals.
The Musselburgh store on Newhailes Road, along with sites at Basin View in Montrose, Greenpark Drive in Polmont, and Cornhill Shopping Arcade in Aberdeen, are among the Scottish locations selected for the works.
Depending on the store, upgrades may include expanded retail space, improved bakery sections, enhanced fresh food displays and upgraded health and beauty areas.
New sustainability measures are also expected to be introduced, including energy-efficient refrigeration systems, natural refrigerants and fridge doors aimed at reducing energy consumption.

The investment forms part of Aldi's wider growth strategy, which also includes plans to spend a further £370 million on opening new stores across the UK.
