Hundreds of dogs are to converge on Scotland’s oldest inhabited house in the Borders next month.
The much-loved Dogs Day Out returns to Traquair House near Innerleithen on Sunday, July 19.
Dogs will come from far and wide to participate in activities, competitions and demonstrations in a fun packed day.
Whatever the breed, size, shape or age of your dog there is something for everyone.
The focus is very much on activities you can enjoy with your dog and have a go at something you have never tried before.
There will be dog agility demonstrations on the wine glass lawn but also the opportunity for you to try your own dog on the course – perhaps you have a star in the making.
New for this year is a Flyball demonstration which is becoming an increasingly popular sport.

Essentially it is an exciting relay race run in teams – it is fast, colourful and noisy.
Don’t think you can teach an old dog new tricks? Sophie, a superb dog trainer and handler from Les Amis D’Onno will be presenting a session and demo on trick training which will certainly give you some ideas.
If you fancy taking a stroll in the woods or by the riverside join Mary Kenny for some shaggy dog tales – a wonderful way to explore the grounds with your dog.
There will also be a doggy treasure hunt in the Maze and some other fun and games around the grounds.
Up in the Old Walled Garden, there will be a selection of dog-related stalls and charities selling everything from homemade doggy treats to designer dog coats and accessories.
The highlight of the day is the Companion Dog Show open to all dogs, combining classes such as Scruffiest Dog and Waggiest Tail to competitions such as Fastest Sausage Eater and Musical Sits.
If you already have a well-trained dog there is a chance to take part in our obedience classes to test your dog’s ability to respond to commands, retrieve and stay down the longest.
This year there is a focus on puppies and there is a class for the Cutest Puppy for any dog under a year old.
Puppy advice will be on hand with Paw Paw Training so if you are looking to socialise your new member of the family this is the place to come.
The day ends with the presentation of the Daphne Memorial Cup will be awarded to Best Dog in Show.
