Eight leading figures from business, media, public health and sport will receive honorary doctorates from the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) during its summer graduation ceremonies.
The honours will be presented between July 7 and 10 in recognition of the recipients' outstanding contributions to their respective fields.
Among those being recognised are Scottish EDGE chief executive Evelyn McDonald, graphic designer Brian Cannon, Public Health Scotland chief officer Manira Ahmad, Harvard University vice-principal Paul Andrew, Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers chief executive Fiona Campbell MBE, Glasgow City Football Club co-founders Laura Montgomery and Carol Anne Stewart, and broadcaster Jean Johansson.
Laura Montgomery and Carol Anne Stewart will receive the University's first-ever dual honorary doctorate.
The awards will be presented alongside UWS graduates during ceremonies taking place across the four-day celebration.
