STV Studios has appointed award-winning producer Mark Hedgecoe as the new creative director of its Glasgow-based factual production team.
Mr Hedgecoe will join STV Studios Factual in October, reporting directly to chief executive David Mortimer.
He arrives from Rogan Productions, where he established and led the company's Glasgow office after becoming head of Rogan Scotland in 2021.
With more than 25 years' experience in factual television, Mr Hedgecoe has worked on a string of acclaimed productions, including the BBC documentaries The Rise and Fall of Michelle Mone, Becoming Frida Kahlo and Freddie Mercury: The Final Act, which won the International Emmy for Best Arts Programming in 2022.
Before joining Rogan Productions, he spent several years at the BBC, progressing from news trainee to head of Pacific Quay Productions at BBC Studios.
He succeeds Craig Hunter, who has led STV Studios Factual since 2019 and will leave the company later this year.
