A US Navy submarine has arrived at Faslane - for a scheduled port visit.
The visit is part of Virginia-class attack submarine USS Oregon's routine deployment to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
Headquartered in Naples, Italy, the U.S. 6th Fleet operates across the Mediterranean Sea and eastern North Atlantic Ocean.
While in Faslane, the submarine will conduct routine maintenance and replenish essential supplies.

The port call also provides the crew with an opportunity for rest, relaxation, and the chance to experience the local culture after an underway period, U.S. 6th Fleet said in a statement.
Capt. Doug Sattler, commander, Task Force 69, said: "We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding support, services, and hospitality provided by our partners here at Faslane.
"The special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom is built on a foundation of shared values, mutual trust, and a unified commitment to maritime security.
"Our enduring partnership with the Royal Navy is critical to maintaining peace and stability in this region."
