A touch of Hogwarts magic is coming to Edinburgh this summer.
A replica of the iconic Harry Potter Platform 9¾ luggage trolley will visit Vue Cinema Edinburgh on August 30 and 31.
The trolley will be at the cinema from 9.30am to 4pm, giving fans the chance to take photos and recreate Harry’s famous journey to Hogwarts.
The attraction is part of a nationwide celebration marking 25 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released in cinemas.
The trolley experience is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Edinburgh visit will coincide with the global re-release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which will include 12 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage being shown on the big screen for the first time.
The original film was released in 2001 and became the highest-grossing movie of that year, launching one of the biggest film franchises in the world.
The Harry Potter franchise has since expanded to eight films, three Fantastic Beasts spin-offs, the stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and attractions including the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.
A new HBO Original TV series based on the books is also currently in development.
