SCOTLAND has recorded 26 coronavirus deaths and 2,010 new cases in the past 24 hours, the latest Scottish Government figures show.

The death toll under this daily measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – now stands at 9,189.

The daily test positivity rate is 13.5 percent, up from 10.8 percent yesterday.

A total of 932 people were in hospital with recently confirmed Covid, up one in 24 hours, with 63 patients in intensive care, down five.

So far, 4,320,370 people have received their first dose of a Covid vaccination and 3,910,253 have had a second.
