My problem with Radio Scotland is that most programmes fall into one of two categories: they are either unmissable (Janice Forsyth's Culture Cafe and Bryan Burnett's Get It On) or unlistenable when hosted by people who are not natural presenters (Letters, May 23).

BBC Radio 5 Live is consistent with good programmes delivered by professional presenters who know, not only how and when to talk but also when to listen to the interviewee or guest.

I'm aware one size doesn't fit all and my personal tastes are bound to differ from others but the disparity of quality broadcasting between the top and middle, never mind the bottom of Scotland's flagship radio station, is something that rankles when compared with other professional media outlets.
