Frank Kelly as Father Jack
WHAT was not mentioned in your excellent obituary (The Herald, March 1) of the late Frank Kelly (of Father Ted fame) was that at Christmas of 1983 he had a No 26 Chart Hit with Christmas Countdown, a hilarious monologue based on The 12 Days of Christmas. I remember him performing it live on Top of the Pops but can only find an audio version on Youtube.
Ken Bruce recently played it on Radio 2 in the run-up to Christmas just gone. Search it out folks, it would bring a tear to a glass eye.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
