JS Morrison (Letters, March 28) mentions high currency exchange rates in the Post Office.

I bought a book of stamps in the Post Office on Monday. Having paid for them I noticed that they were all Christmas stamps. I asked to change them for standard ones. Despite looking carefully the clerk could only find Christmas ones. At this point my cash was refunded. They were, however, charged at the new rate which came into effect last weekend. Surely Christmas stamps should only be sold at the previous rate.

I regard this as sharp practice.
