I SPOTTED a recruitment advert for a project manager for the Ardnamurchan Point Lighthouse. The salary is £24,000 per annum.
Today (November 22) I also read that the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, Jose Mourinho, is to be paid £15 million per annum – for five years.
The lady or gentleman who actually gets the job at the lighthouse, on a rough calculation will have to work approximately 52 years to receive what the Tottenham manager will receive in one month.
Obscene? Absolutely.
