THE remark made by Prince Harry when he addressed the audience at the Travalyst event at the EICC in Edinburgh ("Want to see the world without harming it? Just jump on a train", The Herald, February 27) brought back a memory of words by the comic actor of the 1950s, Sid Caesar.

Prince Harry said: "We don't need to re-invent the wheel, a lot of great work has already been done." Sid Caesar had said: "The guy who invented the first wheel was an idiot. The guy who invented the other three was a genius".

I guess that both idiots and geniuses are needed these days.
