DIVISION 1
Dumbarton v Hamilton Acad
Both sides are seeking a lift after difficult starts to the campaign. Dumbarton have yet to put a single point on the board but victory today would take them above a young Accies side who have managed only two draws.
Alan Adamson, the home manager, has selection problems, with Andy Graham and Pat Walker injured and Chris Turner serving the last match of a three-game ban. Martin Canning looks set to return from injury from Hamilton, although Jon McShane and Andy Ryan are missing.
Last season No fixture
Prediction Away win
Dunfermline Athletic v Livingston
Dunfermline remain hot on the heels of Partick Thistle and will bid to maintain the pressure on the leaders with a fifth win in six games. However, Jim Jefferies knows that will not be easy against a Livingston outfit who are undefeated away from home.
Dunfermline's Andy Barrowman has recovered from a virus but Josh Falkingham is struggling with a similar illness. The visitors will be without the suspended Paul Watson in defence.
Last season No fixture
Prediction Home win
Falkirk v Airdrie United
Falkirk have so far struggled to replicate last season's sparkling form, but face an Airdrie side who have started to wobble after a promising start.
The hosts are boosted by the return of their most experienced player, Darren Dods. Airdrie, bidding to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat, are without the suspended Marc Warren and Scott Sally, who is injured.
Last season No fixture
Prediction Home win
Morton v Raith Rovers
A third consecutive win would take Morton above Raith and into the top three. However, the Greenock side must find a way to curb the scoring exploits of their former striker Brian Graham who has netted 11 times this season.
Morton are still without the injured Kevin Rutkiewicz and Peter MacDonald while Peter Weatherson is a doubt. Pat Clarke faces a late test for Raith.
Last season 1-1, 1-3
Prediction Draw
Partick Thistle v Cowdenbeath
A place in the final of the Ramsdens Cup will be the prize when these two meet at Central Park next month but, for now, league points are the priority.
Thistle, targeting a sixth consecutive league win, are without Steven Craig and Sean Welsh, who are both injured, but Kris Doolan may be ready to return.
Cowdenbeath are bidding to bounce back from defeat to Morton, a cost them their place in the top three. Joe Mbu and Greg Stewart miss out through injury for the visitors.
Last season No fixture
Prediction Home win
DIVISION 2
Arbroath v Forfar Athletic
Forfar are looking for a second Angus derby victory after beating Brechin last week. However, their last defeat, prior to a run of four wins, was to Arbroath, who are unbeaten at Gayfield.
Jamie Bishop is still sidelined for Forfar but Mark McCulloch is available after missing last week's game.
Last season 4-1, 0-1
Prediction Home win
DIVISION 3
Elgin City v Queen's Park
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
