Division Two

Alloa Athletic kept the pressure on Queen of the South at the top of the league, but had to work hard to see off Billy Brown's East Fife 1-0 at New Bayview. Graeme Holmes came up with the only goal of the game when he converted Ryan McCord's cross after 32 minutes.

In the only other match played, Stenhousemuir and Ayr United drew 1-1 at Ochilview. Michael Moffat put the visitors in front, but Darren Smith brought Stenhousemuir level when he struck with only six minutes left.

Division Three

Elgin City finally overcame a stubborn Berwick Rangers 3-1 at Borough Briggs to keep up their pursuit of leaders Rangers.

Elgin opened the scoring through Mark Nicolson but Ross Gray equalised shortly afterwards. Stuart Leslie put Elgin back in front and substitute Dennis Wyness sealed it with a last-minute strike.

In an eventful game at Galabank, Annan Athletic eventually saw off nine-man Stirling Albion 5-2.

Stirling had goalkeeper Sam Filler sent off after 20 minutes and Gary Thom followed him just before half-time.

Annan took full advantage with Ally Love and Scott Chaplain putting them 2-0 up before Graham Weir pulled a goal back. Kieran McGachie made it 3-1 but again Stirling hit back through Stephen Day, only for Michael Daly and Love again to give Annan breathing space.

Montrose picked up a useful three points with a 2-1 win at Clyde. Craig McLeish broke the deadlock in the second half before Jim Scullion equalised, but Jamie Winter hit the winner shortly afterwards.
