Aberdeen have announced they will freeze season-ticket prices at Pittodrie for the third season in a row.

The club have also launched a scheme that will entitle adults who buy season tickets to a free pass for children aged 12 and under.

In a statement, the manager Derek McInnes said: "We are very lucky at this club to have the level of support we do but we are judged on the pitch and we need to deliver a team this city can be proud of once again. With the club looking to the future and placing a spotlight on our young fans with a free ticket for all under-12s, I am sure this is a gesture which will encourage a generation of new Red Army followers."

Aberdeen said last month they are to close part of the Richard Donald Stand next season "to create a better match-day atmosphere".
