Martyn Corrigan, the former Stenhousemuir manager, has emerged as the early favourite to take over at Stirling Albion after manager Greig McDonald and assistant Marc McCulloch resigned from their posts in the wake of Saturday's 4-0 home defeat from their local rivals.

Corrigan, who was recently linked with the assistant manager's position at Queen of the South, played for Stirling for a season and he is believed to already be of interest to the board at Forthbank. He has been out of football since being dismissed from his job at Ochilview in January.
