John Hughes, the Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager, will have impressive youngster Ryan Christie available to face Celtic tomorrow after a one-match suspension.

It would be the 19-year-old's first start in the east end of Glasgow where his father, Charlie, enjoyed a playing stint in the late 1980s.

Young Christie was absent in last weekend's victory against Dundee United after picking up a red card in the previous match away to St Mirren. However, Hughes had suggested already that the teenager required a rest after a hectic start to his first season as a first-team regular.

Despite James Vincent's fine stand-in display against United, Hughes hinted he may be ready to test Christie's considerable promise against Celtic tomorrow.

"We were happy to see Ryan get a wee rest last weekend and I'd say he has benefited from it 100 per cent," said Hughes. "You can see in his training that he's working with a real desire and appetite to get right back in. So he's going to come right back into into our thinking for the starting 11 against Celtic."
