DEREK McINNES, the Aberdeen manager is wary of David Clarkson and views the Dundee striker as a major threat to his side when they square up in the fourth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup at Dens Park tomorrow.

Clarkson, a revelation or the Tayside team with seven goals in his last seven games, had McInnes as his manager at Bristol City before he left in the summer of 2012.

"David was always capable of going on the sort of goalscoring run that he has been on for Dundee," he said.

"I know just how good he is and I have a high regard for him not only as a player but as a person. He is a terrific boy and I am delighted that he is doing well at Dens Park."
