Danny Lennon, the Alloa manager, has added five new faces to his squad with Forfar's 29 year-old former Spartans winger Omar Kader completing his move from Station Park.

St Mirren full back Mark Williams also signed up after the 20 year-old impressed in the PFA Scotland showcase trials. Lennon has also brought in 3 players new to the Scottish game with former Histon and Oxford City striker Geoff Mitchell.25, being joined in Clackmannanshire by Estonia internationalist Mikk Reintam, who ended a spell in Czech football to sign.

Completing the new recruits is 27 year-old Romanian defender Catalin Paun, and Lennon was buoyed by the influx in his choices for selection. "I had to build a new squad here after a lot of players left in the summer," Lennon said. "I said that I would look far and wide to do that and these five signings are evidence of that."

"Some of players have played in trial games whereas Omar came to our attention when we played against Forfar in the play-offs. I had already signed Burton O'Brien, Kyle McAusland and Dougie Hill so we are well on the way to being ready for next season."
