AIRDRIEONIANS manager and former Celtic defender Mark Wilson has been named as League One Manager of the Month for November after guiding his side to second place. 

The 32-year-old was appointed at the Excelsior Stadium at the end of October and has made an immediate impact, winning four of his first six games in charge.

During November, Airdrie recorded three consecutive wins against Albion Rovers, Brechin City and Alloa Athletic before falling to a 2-1 defeat against leaders Livingston. 

Young goalkeeper Rohan Ferguson has been named Player of the Month for his exploits during the run.
