It is all to play for between Stenhousemuir and Queen's Park in their play-off semi-final after the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw at Ochilview with Warriors boss Brown Ferguson frustrated that his men could not gain an advantage over their 10-man visitors.
Ferguson said: "There is a sense of disappointment that we are not ahead in the tie. We commanded the first half without creating too many chances but we limited Queen's to very little. They had a good spell in the second half for 10 minutes and then we dominated again.
"Both teams have seen each other now and we have nothing to fear but we know that it will be a very competitive second leg."
The hosts took the lead on 27 minutes when a long throw from Ross Meechan was headed clear only as far as Eddie Ferns and his lofted ball to the back post was nodded in by a diving Martin Scott.
As the Warriors continued to put the visiting defence under pressure Mark McGuigan was only inches out with a lobbed effort from a similar distance.
Queen's Park came out flying at the start of the second half and equalised within a minute with a well-crafted goal as Luke Donnelly released Gregor Fotheringham on the right and his cut-back was perfectly placed for Robbie Leitch to slam home from six yards.
Stenhousemuir hit back and on 50 minutes Colin McMenamin saw a header from six yards hit the inside of the post and bounce to safety.
The game continued at a frantic pace and after a period of sustained pressure from the hosts, Queen's goalkeeper Adam Cummins was dismissed with 12 minutes left for a waist-high challenge on Ruaridh Donaldson.
With three minutes left Aidan Keena thought he had snatched a dramatic victory when he cheekily curled home a quickly-taken free-kick from 30 yards, however referee Alan Newlands ruled the strike out as he had not blown for the kick to be taken.
Queen's head coach Gus MacPherson said: "The tie is in the balance and that is not unexpected as the teams are evenly matched."
"Our goal gave us a lift but the last 10 minutes were difficult. The players dug in and it will be really competitive in the second leg."
"I have no complaints about the red card at all."
