THE focus for Ryan Kent hasn't shifted. Rangers will take care of their own business and then look over to the other side of the city.

The winger has first hand experience of what Brendan Rodgers can bring to a dressing room and can therefore understand just what Celtic have lost as the Northern Irishman left Parkhead on Tuesday morning.

Rodgers' switch to Leicester City was the headline-grabbing story of the day, by quite some distance.

Rangers have their own issues - first and foremost the visit of Dundee this evening - to focus on, however.

"I guess it is a boost but nothing really changes for us," Kent, who was emerging through the Liverpool youth ranks whilst Rodgers was boss at Anfield, said. "We are just concentrating on our own game as that's what is most important.

"We just want to get three points in every match and see what happens.

"I did learn a lot from Brendan during our time at Liverpool.

"He is a good manager and he will be a miss for Celtic. But I am sure they will appoint someone who will do a good job as well."

As Celtic enter the post-Rodgers era, Rangers know what they must do in the coming days and weeks if they are to retain silverware ambitions.

Kent could yet end his loan spell with two winners' medals but the 22-year-old isn't thinking ahead.

He said: "I don't know what's happening next year yet. I just need to wait and see at the end of the season.

"I'm loving my time at Rangers, I am really enjoying my football and I am happy to be part of this club.

"I have a lot of confidence playing in this team, under this manager.

"We have a good relationship and I enjoy working with him. But it's a conversation Rangers will have with Liverpool if they want to have it.

"Playing at Ibrox under these fans is a great feeling too. I have learned things from every loan spell I've had - good and bad. I've taken stuff away from every club and I am grateful for the opportunities I've had."
