STEVEN GERRARD insists he won’t have one eye on Rangers’ Scottish Cup ambitions as they look to keep their Premiership title bid on track at Easter Road.

The Light Blues make the trip to Leith eight points adrift of Old Firm rivals Celtic at the top of the table and in the knowledge that only a win will do against Hibernian tonight.

The Scottish Cup remains Rangers’ most realistic chance of lifting silverware this season but Gerrard, who has a fitness doubt over midfielder Ryan Jack, isn’t concerned about the quarter-final re-run with Aberdeen on Tuesday night right now.

He said: “I won’t make a decision with the Scottish Cup replay in mind because I never prioritise games. That would be naive. Hibs is the next game and they’re a good team under a new manager with a different way of playing.

“There’s three important points at stake so we’ll face that challenge first and then we’ll worry about the rest of the games coming up.”
