ALFREDO MORELOS admits the Ibrox crowd give him ‘goosebumps’ after thanking Rangers fans for their support once again this term.
The striker has become a hero to the Light Blue legions since moving from HJK Helsinki last season.
Morelos has scored 29 goals for Steven Gerrard’s side this season and is relishing life in Glasgow.
He said: “It’s very exciting, I get goosebumps, like I said in a previous interview. It’s a love that they have for me, for all the things I have done. For everything I’ve done on the field.
“I’ve proven what I’m made of with goals, with good game play, by being well prepared for the team, and it really motivates me to know that both kids and adults, the young people, love me in an incredible way.

“I know it and I feel it, because every time I score a goal or every time I go to a shopping centre or out for dinner, the love that Rangers fans have for me is awesome. I’m very appreciative of them, and I thank them for having that love for me.
“I want to keep doing things right so that they keep loving me. It’s my second family, the people here are very devoted, I feel very comfortable here. I’m very calm, as I said people really love me.
“I’m living very well, very calm here. I like it. I’m used to it here now, in terms of football, in terms of the climate, the schedule, the people, so yeah I’m used to it. I’m keen to enjoy all the time I have in Glasgow.”
The goals that Morelos has provided this season have been crucial for Gerrard but his efforts look set to prove in vain.
Rangers have been knocked out of both cup competitions and are ten points adrift of Celtic in the league.
“I like Rangers a lot, the fans, the football, what we live day to day, it’s something incredible for me,” Morelos told RangersTV. “I really enjoy it, even more so when we play at home.

“The fans – the way they praise us and want to see us play every weekend, every week day. It’s something amazing, I get that adrenaline rush and it’s awesome.
“I want to be competing as much as I can, as fast as I can. I knew I was coming to a big club, a club with a lot of titles, a lot of history. I knew it was a club that had fallen.
“So I knew they were in the first division again, and I knew that they wanted to win. That they wanted to be on top again, that they wanted to fight, so I came with that attitude, of doing things right.
“I came in as a second forward and well I got the opportunity to play and I proved what I could do, my goals. I started earning myself a place here with Rangers and so far its’ all been excellent. I’m happy with everything I’ve done here with Rangers.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
