RANGERS midfielder Graham Dorrans has been released from his contract at Ibrox as he edges closer to a move to Kilmarnock.

The 32-year-old midfielder was plagued with injuries during his two-year spell in Govan and has fallen down the pecking order at Rangers.

Kilmarnock are said to be keen to sign the former Scotland international before the transfer deadline at midnight tonight.

In a statement on the club's website, Rangers thanked Dorrans for his two years of service.

The statement read: "Rangers can today confirm the mutual termination of midfielder Graham Dorrans’ contract.
