Deadline day can be famine or feast.

And Celtic fans enjoyed scoffing on transfers right up until the deadline last night.

Rangers can't be filled with too many complaints either, as Steven Gerrard's men secured their priority window target in Ryan Kent.

The Gers boss was even true to his word, with the Ibrox outfit unveiling their man bang on midnight to mess with supporters - he did say they'd happily wait until the last seconds of the window, after all.

Here's a comprehensive roundup of all the big deals from yesterday around Scottish football - and a couple of smaller ones done, too.

Celtic

The Hoops were extremely busy on the final day of the window, bringing in three and losing the same number on loan.

Greg Taylor joined the Champions from Kilmarnock on a four-year deal despite a slight hitch in negotiations earlier in the afternoon.

Jack Hendry and Calvin Miller were both wanted by Killie going the other way but neither fancied the switch.

Meanwhile both Manchester clubs United and City allowed youngsters to join Parkhead on four-year deal - Lee O'Connor and Jeremie Frimpong respectively.

Anthony Ralston (St Johnstone), Jack Aitchison (Forest Green Rovers) and Ewan Henderson (Ross County) all departed on loan.

Rangers

Ryan Kent was their major man on the whistle.

The former Young Player of the Year - who starred for Gers last season on loan - made the move official and permanent after months of speculation.

The ex-Liverpool starlet was the only major IN to Ibrox, but there were a few outgoings.

Joe Dodoo and Graham Dorrans were released from their contracts while Jason Holt (St Johnstone) and Jake Hastie (Rotherham) left on loan deals.

Elsewhere

Kilmarnock brought in Osman Sow on loan from Dundee United while Scotland under-21 star Harvey St Clair also joined from Serie B side Venezia.

Connor Johnson also joined while Taylor, Greg Kiltie (Dunfermline) and Kirk Broadfoot left the club.

In Edinburgh Hibs signed Jason Naismith on a season-long loan deal from down south.

The ex-Ross County and St Mirren star's parent club Peterborough Utd sanctioned the move late on.

Former Rangers and Hibs striker Jason Cummings opted for a move to Shrewsbury while Hamilton Accies, Motherwell and St Johnstone all strengthened.
