Meanwhile both Manchester clubs United and City allowed youngsters to join Parkhead on four-year deal - Lee O'Connor and Jeremie Frimpong respectively.
Anthony Ralston (St Johnstone), Jack Aitchison (Forest Green Rovers) and Ewan Henderson (Ross County) all departed on loan.

The ex-Liverpool starlet was the only major IN to Ibrox, but there were a few outgoings.
Joe Dodoo and Graham Dorrans were released from their contracts while Jason Holt (St Johnstone) and Jake Hastie (Rotherham) left on loan deals.
Elsewhere
Kilmarnock brought in Osman Sow on loan from Dundee United while Scotland under-21 star Harvey St Clair also joined from Serie B side Venezia.
Connor Johnson also joined while Taylor, Greg Kiltie (Dunfermline) and Kirk Broadfoot left the club.

In Edinburgh Hibs signed Jason Naismith on a season-long loan deal from down south.
The ex-Ross County and St Mirren star's parent club Peterborough Utd sanctioned the move late on.
Former Rangers and Hibs striker Jason Cummings opted for a move to Shrewsbury while Hamilton Accies, Motherwell and St Johnstone all strengthened.
