DUNDEE have tonight revealed they remain locked in talks over league reconstruction - and are still unable to cast their deciding vote on the SPFL resolution on the end of the 2019/20 season.
The Dens Park club asked for the form they emailed to the SPFL before the requested 5pm deadline on Friday night - which the governing body told them they didn't receive - not to be considered.
The Ladbrokes Championship outfit have since been in negotiations behind-the-scenes and have revealed that altering the current 12-10-10-10 set-up has been the main item on the agenda.
The SPFL board, who had asked their member clubs to end the Championship, League 1 and League 2 and give them the power to do the same in the Premiership at a later date, was meeting this afternoon.
But it seems as though the game in this country will be left in limbo for some tim yet.
A Dundee statement read: "Following a weekend of discussion and contemplation, we would like to issue the following statement.
"As we made clear in our statement on Friday afternoon, it is a time for integrity and impartiality within Scottish football. Our view on that has not changed.
"Over the past few days, we have entered into various positive discussions with reconstruction at the forefront of these.
"Given our discussions and considering all aspects, we don’t feel we are in a position to comment further on the resolution that was put forward.
"We understand that this may bring more questions than answers and we will look to give a much more substantial account of the past few days at the conclusion of this process.
"Our supporters should know that we are, as always, looking out for the best interests of both Dundee Football Club and Scottish football as a whole."
