STEVEN GERRARD insists he is under no pressure to sell his top stars this summer as he prepares for offers during the remainder of a unique transfer window.

The Ibrox boss has moved swiftly to complete the majority of his business in recent weeks as the likes of Ianis Hagi, Cedric Itten and Kemar Roofe have joined the Gers.

Striker Alfredo Morelos was the subject of interest from Lille, while Borna Barisic has been linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Leeds United.

There is still plenty of time left for clubs to tempt Rangers into doing business but Gerrard is relaxed at what may unfold in the coming months.

He said: “I think the window being open a little bit longer this time and it being a unique situation is fair to all clubs.

“Just because at Rangers we have predators and people interested in our players we can’t be selfish and think we want the window shut now.

“It is what it is. We see it as a compliment that people are looking at our players, that individuals are playing at a good level.

“Normally that means the team is playing well too. I’ve got no problem with it. I totally understand people are going to watch our better players and be interested.

“But the reality is there’s no pressure here to sell. I don’t feel that pressure to sell.

“That gives me confidence if anyone was to leave it would be for a fee that suits us. I’m totally comfortable with it all – ins and outs.”
