CELTIC midfielder Scott Robertson has completed a season-long loan move to English League One outfit Gillingham.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder played for the Parkhead club's colt side in last season's Challenge Cup and featured for the full 90 minutes in his side's Europa League defeat to Cluj in their final group stage fixture.
Robertson was named on the bench for Celtic's 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock last month but was an unused substitute, and has now made the trip down south in search of more regular game-time.
Speaking to the Gillingham website, Robertson cited the importance of playing men's football on a regular basis as the reason for his loan switch.
He said: "I’m buzzing to get started. I had a chat with the gaffer at Celtic and this seemed like the perfect fit for me.

Manager Steve Evans added: "I am incredibly pleased to get Scott to Priestfield.
"He is somebody I have watched several times and I’m very grateful to my friend Neil Lennon for believing we are the right place for Scott to continue his football development.
“We look forward to working with him and his addition will provide strong competition for places in our midfield. He is young, hungry, incredibly talented and I have no doubt the supporters will enjoy watching him as the season progresses.
"I thank the chairman for getting a deal in place and he will be in contention for a place this weekend."
