SCOTT BAIN 5: Helpless at Roofe goal, but should have done better with Morelos rocket that put Rangers back ahead, with shot going in directly above his head.
JONJOE KENNY 5: Sloppy passing almost put Celtic in danger early on, and on-loan Everton man looked nervy throughout.
STEPHEN WELSH 5: A few decent interventions, but youngster given a lesson by Defoe late on as he was turned inside out for Rangers' fourth.
KRISTOFFER AJER 5: Looks good striding out from the back with the ball, but has to be braver in defensive situations. Ducked out of the way of Morelos’s shot for Rangers second.
GREG TAYLOR 5: Couple of decent crosses, but was rather embarrassed by Kent’s quick feet.
SCOTT BROWN 5: Captain bowed out on the hour of his 44th Old Firm appearance, and he can rarely have had a more forgettable one. Looked a yard off the pace and couldn’t have any influence over match.
CALLUM MCGREGOR 2: The man who might take over from Brown as captain let himself, his skipper and his team down with two rash challenges which led to his early dismissal. Most unlike him.
JAMES FORREST 6: Showed why Celtic have missed him so much this season, but decision making a little rusty at times. Great cross for Turnbull should have been rewarded with a goal.
DAVID TURNBULL 6: Prominent creative force yet again for Celtic, but should have scored when teed up by Forrest for a free header.
MOI ELYOUNOUSSI 7: Norwegian can drift in and out of games, but was right at it here from the off. Carried the ball well and was a threat, though missed a sitter late on.
ODSONNE EDOUARD 6: Looked much sharper than his last visit to this ground, and bundled home unlikely equaliser for Celtic.
SUBSTITUTES
ISMAILA SORO 3: Awful pass gifted Rangers their fourth.
RYAN CHRISTIE 4: Couldn’t really get involved in a creative sense.
MIKEY JOHNSTON 4: Made welcome return from injury late on.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
