ANGE Postecoglou last night admitted he is hopeful of strengthening his Celtic squad further before the Europa League play-off after the Parkhead club were linked with a £2.5m move for Croatia right back Josip Juranovic.
Postecoglou’s team take Jablonek in the second leg of the third qualifying round in Glasgow tonight and look certain to progress after their 4-2 triumph over in the Czech Republic last Thursday.
The Greek-Australian coach is still keen to bring in more new players and Legia Warsaw defender Juranovic, who represented his country at the Euro 2020 finals this summer, and OH Leuven striker Thomas Henry are potential targets.

The former Yokohama F Marinos manager has spent over £12m and brought in Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi, Joe Hart, James McCarthy and Carl Starfelt since being appointed back in June.
But asked if he was optimistic of more new faces arriving before the first leg of the Europa League play-off on August 19, he said: “There’s always a possibility and I live in hope.”
Meanwhile, Postecoglou stressed he is unconcerned about the prospect of Odsonne Edouard leaving Celtic for nothing next summer when his contract expires.
The French striker has attracted interest from Premier League clubs Brighton and Southampton in recent weeks.
However, no deal has been agreed for the 23-year-old and it has been reported that he could see out the final year of his deal and then depart.
But the Parkhead manager said: “That is a club concern rather than my concern right now. No, I’m not concerned at all.”
Elsewhere, Postecoglou has expressed confidence that none of his players will grow complacent following the 4-2 triumph over Jablonec in the Europa League and 6-0 rout of Dundee in the cinch Premiership.
“We’re far from being a team where we can sort of relax at any stage,” he said. “We’re just beginning. We’ve had a couple of good performances, but for me it’s about being consistent in our football and in our approach.
“And that’s a long way away. I don’t think there will be any (complacency) and I guess if anyone is when they walk out in front of 60,000 I think that will snap them back into making sure there’s a concerted effort to build on what we’ve started.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
