Jon McLaughlin 7

Might as well have been in with the 41,000 fans at Ibrox the keeper had so little to do. Was alert on the rare occasions he was called into action.

Nathan Patterson 8

A more than capable deputy at right-back for Rangers. Constant running down the right flank and created a number of chances with his direct running and whipped crosses.

Connor Goldson 7

One of three players who retained their place from Tuesday night. A real comfortable performance from the defender who spent more time in the opposition penalty box as he did in his own.

Jack Simpson 7

A decent showing for the young centre back. Wasn’t really tested as the hosts enjoyed the majority of the ball throughout and happy to play simple balls into midfield for creative players.

Calvin Bassey 9

Tremendous. The full-back was a standout performer at Ibrox teeing up the first with a clever cut-back before a pinpoint cross for the third. Non-stop running and excellent crossing all night.

John Lundstram 7

A fine performance. Started the scoring after just three minutes with an emphatic strike and was always available to receive the ball. Took aim from range a number of times but couldn’t grab a second.

Glen Kamara 8

It looked effortless for the Finland international in midfield. Barely broke a sweat as he dictated play from the centre of the park. Quick to snuff out any Dunfermline attacks.

Joe Aribo 8

Composed, clever and tireless. Excellent build up for Roofe’s first goal. Demanded the ball and was selfless in creating bags of chances for the front three.

Ianis Hagi 8

The playmaker looked back to his best showing his stunning first touch and excellent vision as he sent Wright through for the second goal. Was brave to score himself with a header at the back post.

Scott Wright 8

Has clearly already endeared himself to the Ibrox faithful. Took his goal very well and proved a thorn in the side of Dunfermline’s defence with his skilful runs on and off the ball.

Kemar Roofe 8

A superb performance the perfect way to put a tough week behind him. The striker bagged a double and thanked fans for their support after a health scare for his son during the week.

Alfredo Morelos (for Wright, 64) 5

Very lively in the last half-hour, always looking to score but just unable to find the net.

Scott Arfield (for Hagi, 70) 4

Given 20 minutes but the game was finished by then. Looked comfortable on the ball.

Stephen Kelly (for Kamara, 78) 3

A late run-out for the youngster but whipped in some dangerous crosses in his short time on the pitch.
