If Celtic can replicate Sunday afternoon's first-half showing against Hearts this evening, AZ Alkmaar are in for a difficult game of football.

Ange Postecoglou's charges were on fire at Parkhead last weekend and could have been 5-0 up after 45 minutes. That they only managed a 3-2 victory mattered little when all that mattered was getting through to the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals.

They are in Europa League qualifying action tonight, though, and Postecoglou has a decision or two to make.

Does he stick with his rampant players from the Hearts win or should he twist? The Hoops boss confirmed that Israeli winger Liel Abada is back in training and could play a part against the Dutch side but would it be too early for him to start from kick-off?

James McCarthy, the new boy, is also getting closer to full fitness. Should he play ahead of the immense Tom Rogic who has found his form again?

What do you do about in-form man Kyogo Furuhashi, left-wing or up top with Odsonne Edouard?

We've taken a look at the team Postecoglou has at his disposal and we reckon the starting XI may look somewhat similar to Sunday's squad.

Joe Hart

The stopper was barely troubled against Hearts but was unable to keep out Liam Boyce or Aaron McEneff. He's a dead-cert to start tonight.

Anthony Ralston

Has played well in the early stages of the season but is still, at the time of writing, Celtic's only right-back option so will play.

Stephen Welsh

The youngster is slowly but surely growing into his position as starter at centre-half and deserves his spot.

Carl Starfelt

Swedish defender Starfelt was culpable for the penalty against Hearts and still doesn't quite look up to speed fully with the Scottish game. But his experience could prove vital and he's a much better option than Nir Bitton.

Greg Taylor

Has come onto a game for Celts, especially improving his attacking play. Still got a bit to work on but will play against AZ.

Callum McGregor

Captain Cal has been terrific thus far for his club and will play a big role at Parkhead this season. He is also needed in these big Euro ties to keep his teammates focused.

David Turnbull

His talent is obvious and he always makes himself available. Has scored a couple already this season and Celtic will need his calmness under pressure - and his eye for goal from distance.

James Forrest

As mentioned already, Liel Abada is back. And if he was fully 100 percent I reckon the new signing would get the nod. But as he's still recovering to an extent, Forrest - who has been impressive this early part of the season - will start.

Tom Rogic

Possibly the toughest decision for Postecoglou to make on the night. Of course he was outstanding against Hearts but Celts will have to defend this evening and Rogic isn't necessarily known for his tackling. McCarthy may start ahead of him potentially but given Ange's comments about attacking from the get-go, he's likely to pick the on-form Aussie to try and pick the AZ lock.

Kyogo

Celtic's main man of late. The Japanese striker will, with Ryan Christie missing, probably start on the left-hand side but be allowed to drift in and out of position as best he can to provide a different threat for his club in an attacking sense. He works harder than anyone else, it seems, and his workrate will be pivotal.

Odsonne Edouard

French Eddy has not been his usual self this season so far and has been questioned by fans over his effort. But there's no denying that when he turns up he can be unplayable. We saw glimpses against Hearts and if reports are correct and he does fancy a move, European football is the ideal shop window.
