DAVE VOS has revealed how a chat with Ronald de Boer and meeting of minds with Giovanni van Bronckhorst sold him on a switch to Rangers.

The former Ajax youth supremo made the move to Glasgow in November to take up the position of Van Bronckhorst's right-hand man at Ibrox.

Vos has built a burgeoning reputation as a coach on the continent and will now aim to play his part in ensuring Rangers retain their Premiership title this term.

And the 38-year-old has never doubted that he was making the right move after convincing conversations with his boss and former Light Blues hero De Boer.

Vos told RangersTV: "I was a youth coach for a long time and I wanted to make the step towards the first team.

"I spoke with Giovanni a couple of times and felt immediately the right connection.

"We share the same philosophy about how we want to play, how we want to develop the team. At the moment when he asked me, it was a very simple choice.

"One of my assistant coaches at Ajax was Ronald de Boer so I asked him a lot of questions about the club and he was so enthusiastic about his time here, the fans, the environment, the people, the city. All of those things come together and from there I made the decision.

"The first time at Ibrox was a really wonderful experience and I am enjoying the fans and how they live football. That is a little bit different than in Holland.

"The pressure… it sounds crazy but Ajax is a big club and they have the same kind of pressure.

"Rangers, every game they play they play against an opponent where that is the game of the year. That is a little bit of the same pressure.

"I think if we develop the team and prepare them for what they can expect from the game, that is our job.

"From there, the players just need to do it. So far I have really liked the environment and liked the pressure also. That is a good thing, the pressure."
