CARLOS CARVALHAL insists Braga won't be daunted by the Ibrox roar as the Portuguese attempt to silence the home crowd and knock Rangers out of the Europa League.

Braga will head to Ibrox on Thursday night knowing that a draw will be enough to secure a place in the semi-finals following their 1-0 win in the first leg last week.

Striker Abel Ruiz netted the only goal of the game at The Quarry to put Carvalhal's side in the driving seat to set up a meeting with RB Leipzig or Atalanta.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has expressed his hope that the home crowd can play their part in helping Rangers overturn the deficit and continue their continental campaign.

But Carvalhal is confident his side will thrive in a cauldron of noise at Ibrox as Braga bid for their latest big game victory under the guidance of their 56-year-old boss.

Carvalhal said: "It is a positive. It is something that gives us a big motivation. We like the fantastic environment.

"Since we arrived in Braga, we have won in Benfica’s stadium, Sporting’s stadium, Porto’s stadium - we are talking about 50,000 or 60,000 fans in each and we won there. So it is something that we like.

"Congratulations to the Braga fans and Glasgow Rangers fans last week, it was an amazing atmosphere in the stadium and it was something that we like, we enjoy and we are looking forward to the game on Thursday.

"We will not only defend when we go to Glasgow. We’re a team that plays all the time to try to win.

“We’ll show a big respect to Glasgow Rangers because they really are a very good team, a strong team - but we will try to win because we try to win all the games."
