KILMARNOCK defender Charlie McArthur has been linked with a string of top English clubs and has revealed he will sort out his future on his return from captaining Scotland Under 17s at the Euros.

The young Scots suffered a comprehensive opening game 5-1 defeat to Portugal in Israel and face Denmark in a must-win game at Ramat Gan tomorrow.

McArthur, 16, was handed his Killie league debut this month and has been strongly linked with a £275,000 move to Brighton, with Liverpool, Manchester City, West Ham and Wolves also credited with an interest.

But the highly-rated youngster insists he is only concentrating on Killie...for now.
He said: "At this moment in time I am just focussing on the Euros with Scotland and then I'll need to see what happens.

"I'll speak to the manager when I get back and see what the plans are and go from there. I'm still under contract for another year so I am still a Kilmarnock player.

"Derek McInnes has been good to work for. I'll just need to see what happens when I go back and it'll all work out.

"It's not difficult to focus despite the speculation because at this moment in time I'm not playing in England.

"It was brilliant to make my league debut for Kilmarnock at Raith Rovers a few weeks ago. It's been great around the club. The players have all been buzzing. We are a good group and everyone can't wait to play in the Premier League next season."

And McArthur is convinced Brian McLaughlin's boys can bounce back tomorrow after a harsh learning curve against the Portuguese.

He said: "We were playing against some of the top young players in Europe. There as still some positives to take from the game in patches, but obviously, the result wasn't what we wanted.

"It was a great learning experience for us.

"It'll be tough against Denmark and we need to beat them and we will still have a chance of going through."
