John Kennedy has joked that Ange Postecoglou is tied to a chair at Celtic's training ground to ensure he doesn't leave.

The manager has been heavily touted for the vacant Leeds United job this week after Jesse Marsch was sacked on Monday.

The Premier League club acted swiftly after their weekend defeat to Nottingham Forest, which left them only above the relegation zone on goal difference.

They earned a hard fought point against Manchester United on Wednesday evening. Heading into Sunday's match, again versus the Red Devils, the Lilywhites are still on the lookout for a new manager.

Postecoglou has been linked as one of the favourites to take over at Elland Road.

However, his assistant Kennedy believes the Australian's mind if totally focussed on carrying out something special at Celtic Park.

He told the media: "We've tied him to a chair upstairs and have got a couple of security guards at his door.

"There's always speculation. I think it's credit to the manager and the job he's done here.

"It's a bit like players. When they come here and they do well, they get linked to other clubs.

"The manager has shown his abilities as a manager. When you do that and have success with that, you attract attention. That's what's happened.

"Ultimately, there's a lot of speculation. That's what it is. There's a lot of noise, but I know first hand the way he works.

"He's focussed on his job. He loves being here. He's in the middle of building something very special so I think his mind is firmly focussed on being at Celtic and doing the best he can here."
