Glasgow Warriors pair Rory Darge and Scott Cummings have been added to Scotland's training squad ahead of Sunday’s Six Nations round three clash against Ireland after recovering from long-term injuries.

Flanker Darge has now played two games for Warriors since returning from four and a half months out with an ankle injury, while Cummings is three matches into his comeback following a foot injury sustained at the end of October.

Their Warriors team-mates, Stafford McDowall and Simon Berghan, have also returned to the group after missing the France week due to being on club duty in South Africa.

Meanwhile, fears that Finn Russell may be an injury doubt for Sunday’s match have been allayed, with it understood that the stand-off played a full part in training yesterday.

The playmaker played 80 minutes for Racing 92 against Toulouse with a heavily bandaged leg on Sunday night, and if he were to miss this weekend’s game it would be a major blow to Scotland’s chances as he has been in red-hot form so far during this Six Nations.
