Open Goal and Broomhill are set to bring their partnership to an end with head coach Si Ferry preparing to depart the club at the end of the season.

The Scottish football podcast, presented by Ferry, struck a deal with the Lowland League club that saw the former Celtic, Dundee and Swindon Town midfielder take charge of the first team, while a fly-on-the-wall documentary was shot that would chart the team’s progression.

The club changed its name to Open Goal Broomhill FC as part of the project but it will conclude after one season with Ferry set to leave at the end of the current campaign.

Ferry was joined at the club, who play their home matches at Broadwood Stadium, by podcast co-host Paul Slane as well as a host of recently professional players such as Kirk Broadfoot, Gary Fraser, Derek Lyle and Ryan Conroy.

Open Goal Broomhill currently occupy 13th place in the 19-team Lowland League with five games left to play this season. New episodes of the behind-the-scenes documentary, ‘Crossing The Line’, are published weekly on YouTube.
