Kevin Nisbet has withdrawn from the Scotland squad through injury ahead of the clash against Spain in Sevilla.

It was confirmed the 26-year-old will miss the Euro 2024 qualifier and that no replacements will be called up.

This leaves Steve Clarke with just three forwards to choose from in Che Adams, Lyndon Dykes and Jacob Brown.

Bournemouth's Ryan Christie is another player who could be an option in the attacking area.

Hearts striker Laurence Shankland was left out of the squad for the trip to Spain but could be an option for the friendly against France next week.

If Scotland avoid defeat, they will qualify for next year's tournament in Germany on Thursday, and even if they do lose, should Norway also fail to beat Cyprus, that would be enough to secure a seat on the plane.

Another path to Euro 2024 is if Norway win in Larnaca and Spain do the same in Oslo on Sunday, Scotland would qualify despite not playing.
