Max Johnston has been called up to the Scotland squad for the friendly against France.

The former Motherwell defender - now at Sturm Graz - could be set for his debut on Tuesday night.

Full-back Johnston has played through the youth age groups for Scotland and has now been rewarded with a call-up to the senior squad.

He comes into the squad as captain Andy Robertson drops out through injury after being forced off against Spain last week.

Brentford's Aaron Hickey is also out of contention for the match against France on Tuesday after dropping out of the squad for the match.
