Match ratings for each Rangers player on a bitingly cold night of Europa League action at Ibrox.

Jack Butland: Solid save from a strong Caju drive after 10 minutes. Had no chance for the goal. Very little to do otherwise. 6

James Tavernier: Not at his best but never stopped going. Had to be wary of Aris' pacy attackers and it subdued his attacking instincts. 5

Borna Barisic: Struggled up against the pacy winger Babicka who gave him a torrid time. Another poor display for a man whose decent early season form has dropped off a cliff. Looks stripped of confidence. 4

John Souttar: Missed a big chance when the ball dropped to him in the box in the first half and was shaky throughout. 5

Ben Davies: Good on the ball but often found wanting when defending needs to be done. The game may have changed but it's still not an ideal attribute for a centre-back. At fault for the goal when he should have dropped back quicker.  5

John Lundstram: Toiled away and made a few crucial interceptions. Was left to do too much leg work on his own. Had a good long-range shot that went just wide. 6

Jose Cifuentes: Anonymous and looks lost so far as a Rangers player. He's got the physique to be a midfield destroyer but is too often caught in the wrong position. Seems to lack tactical discipline and use of the ball was suspect. 4

Abdallah Sima: Found a way through in the first minute but was foiled by the keeper. Always a danger with his pace but not his most effective game in light blue. 5

Sam Lammers: Having such a nightmare as a Rangers player you have to feel sorry for him. He's in the wrong movie at this club. Despite his undoubted technical proficiency, he seems to fall apart when it counts. Hooked in the second half. 4

Todd Cantwell: Was substituted for McCausland in the 35th minute. Had a poor start, losing the ball in the build up to the goal, but he wasn't the worst on the pitch by a long shot. He looked crestfallen to be taken off and is entitled to point out to his manager that the Dutchman operating to his left was ineffectual in the position Cantwell excels. 2

Danilo: Pressed from the front with no lack of perspiration. Inspiration was another matter. Missed a sitter when put through on goal. The Brazilian needs to up his game to justify the £6m outlay. 5

Substitutes

Ross McCausland:  Brought on to add a spark to Rangers play in the final third and the youngster certainly delivered. His drilled finish from 20 yards into the corner brought his team right back into the game at a crucial time. 8

Tom Lawrence: Didn't get into the game after replacing Lammers. 3

Rabi Matondo: Came on for the last 10 minutes in place of Sima. 3
