Hibernian's attempts to land any Bournemouth players on loan this month appear to be in doubt.

The Premier League club's billionaire American owner, Bill Foley, has agreed a deal worth £6m to become a minority stakeholder in the Easter Road side.

However, the deal has yet to be finalised until Scottish football's governing bodies conduct their due diligence.

There aren't expected to be any issues in the Scottish FA passing the move, reports the Daily Mail.

But with time in the January window running out, it might not go through this month in time for any potential loans between the clubs to take place.

Meanwhile, Hellas Verona defender Josh Doig is reportedly "close" to a move to fellow Serie A side Sassuolo.

The Scotland under-21 international previously looked set for a transfer to Ligue 1 club Marseille before the deal fell through.

And now Gianluca Di Marzio claims that deal has been struck between the two Italian clubs with his current club poised to bank "€6million plus 10 per cent of any future fee".

This would see Hibernian academy graduate Doig net his old team a significant transfer windfall as they are due 27.5 per cent of the profit made by Hellas Verona which could be up to £500,000.

The 22-year-old has made 35 appearances for Hellas Verona, scoring twice and providing four assists.

He previously spoke about how much he was just enjoying life in Italy.

He said: "It’s amazing there. It’s a different culture. It’s all new, the city, the layout, the people - everything is new but I’m embracing it as much as I can.

"The style of football is not massively different. You have a lot more of the ball at your feet and you need to play and be comfortable on the ball.

"It’s good for me, it’s maturing me as a player. I’m on the ball a lot more and I’ve enjoyed it."
