Philippe Clement has revealed the contents of his discussion with referee Don Robertson after the match between Rangers and Aberdeen.
And the Ibrox boss explained he wanted clarification over the red card for Dujon Sterling's challenge on Jack Mackenzie and an alleged "smack in the face" of Connor Goldson by Luis 'Duk' Lopes.
The Rangers manager felt the red card was harsh for Sterling, but Robertson stuck with his on-field decision despite being called to the pitchside monitor after a VAR review.
Clement was similarly aggrieved at the decision not to show Duk a red card for a collision with Goldson in the second half while the players competed for a header. The striker was booked.
On Sky Sports, Clement commented: "Dujon, for me, slipped in that moment and he touched the toes of the opponent. Okay, it's for sure a yellow card but if you give red cards for touching the toes of the opponent there will be a lot of red cards.

"Then also for me the smack in the face for Connor Goldson needs to be red but I know being a referee is the most difficult job in the world. I would not want to be in their place."
And further quizzed on the red card call on BBC, Clement added: "...the feeling is that the referee decides at the end. Those are the rules of the game.
"I just wanted to hear what his opinion was because for me he slips and touches the toes of the opponent, not the ankle or his leg.
"It's really harsh red card and I think that also was the reason why they asked him to come and look at the monitor because VAR thought the same thing.
"At the end it is referees who decide and we need to follow that."
