Scott Wright has opened up on Rangers' winter training camp in La Manga, insisting it has been critical to the Ibrox side's recent run of form.
Philippe Clement's men have a 100 per cent record since returning from the January break and are just three points behind league leaders Celtic, with a game in hand.
If Rangers defeat Ross County by three or more goals next Wednesday then they will go top of the Scottish Premiership.
And Wright feels the break came at the right time for the League Cup holders.
"The manager came in and it was tough to start with because he couldn't do much with us on the training pitch because there was a game every two or three days," he said.
"The break in La Manga has been great for us. It was absolutely critical for us, to be honest.
"He has been able to implement more of his ideas and a bit of his style and you can see that on the pitch, the things he wanted to change.
"It is a case of us trying to put the building blocks in place that he has put in and take it step by step in the right direction.
"As I touched on, it was so difficult for him to get his ideas across to us in the two or three days that he had with us on the training pitch.
"That camp was good for us because we could work on those things and had time to try and implement them>
