Scott Brown insists it was 'only a matter of time' before he was shown a yellow card at Ibrox again.
The Celtic legend took his Ayr United side to take on Rangers in Glasgow yesterday in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
Goals from Borna Barisic and Fabio Silva settled the game for Philippe Clement's men, as the Light Blues continued their rich vein of form.
Ayr had complaints over Silva's time on the park though, with Brown insisting the on-loan Wolves striker should've been sent off by referee Willie Collum.
The forward had already been booked during the first half of the match, and Brown was left incensed when Silva escaped a second booking for a challenge after the break.
Brown remonstrated with Craig Napier, who was the fourth official, and this led to Collum flashing his yellow card in the direction of Brown for his vociferous complaints.
On his booking, Broony told BBC Sportsound: "It was only a matter of time to be perfectly honest.
"I think he should've sent Silva off for his second tackle. But it's that pressure situation, people can't deal with it."
Post-match, Brown also revealed that he expected to get more stick from the home faithful upon his highly-anticipated return to Ibrox for the first time as a manager.

He said: "I was expecting a wee bit more. To be fair they were a wee bit scared because I have won too much here. You know what I mean?
"He [Clement] offered me a drink so, I'm a Fifer I will never turn that down. I'm hoping it is a nice red wine!"
Rangers will discover their Scottish Cup quarter-final opponents this evening.
Celtic take on St Mirren in the first or the remaining two fifth-round ties this afternoon, with the draw then taking place prior to Hearts' trip to Airdrieonians.
