George Wickens left Ibrox having put in a record-breaking display for Ross County, not that you could tell from his understandable frustration come full time.
The Fulham keeper, 22, made 19 saves in the 3-1 defeat to Rangers - a record number in one match in the Scottish Premiership era.
However, with County just six points off bottom side Livingston and five behind St Johnstone in 10th, Wickens is much more focussed on the team achieving than his individual accomplishments.
“It was certainly a busy night," said Wickens of the match at Ibrox. "It’s good for me to come to a place like this and get that sort of experience, to show what I can do.
“I was a bit frustrated with the first goal. I got caught in no man’s land and that ends up making it a bit of a longer night for us. That was frustrating on a personal note.
“It was nice to make a few saves – I tried to make up for it.

“I feel good at the moment. I have been here not even a month yet. The results haven’t come which has obviously been frustrating, but I have tried to keep myself in a good place and keep working hard.
“I feel good within myself. It’s nice to make a number of saves, but at the end of the day to not come away with anything, given the position we are in, is probably more the frustrating thing for myself and the team."
Wickens joined County on loan last month while Derek Adams was in charge. A quickfire exit after a disastrous return to the Highlands was a shock to a number of January recruits, Wickens included.
On Adams' departure and Don Cowie taking over on an interim basis, he said: “It certainly wasn’t what I expected, with the manager leaving two or three weeks after I came in.
“It’s not only me – we brought in a fair number of lads in January.
“It has been different and there has been plenty of change. But Don has come in and even within the first few days in training, with the message he is putting across, he has really steadied the ship and started to bring some confidence back into this group.
“There are plenty of good players, and I don’t think we should be in the position we are in.
“It’s exciting, if I can look at it that way, with the new gaffer bringing a different sort of mentality.
“Hopefully we can start showing that on the pitch with some positivity.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
