St Mirren will be playing European football next season.

Stephen Robinson's side will compete in the UEFA Conference League qualifying rounds next season after securing a fifth-placed finish in the Scottish Premiership.

Dundee's 5-2 loss against Rangers on Tuesday night guaranteed St Mirren would take the final European spot in Scotland through their league position.

The Buddies are five points clear of Dundee with Tony Docherty's side having just one game left meaning European football in Paisley is mathematically confirmed.

Here's everything you need to know about St Mirren qualifying for the UEFA Conference League...

In what round of Conference League do St Mirren enter?

St Mirren will enter the second qualifying round of the Conference League.

The Paisley club will bypass the first round through the Scottish coefficient being high enough for second qualifying round entry.

When is the draw for the UEFA Conference League?

The draw for the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round will take place on June 19.

The second qualifying round matches will be played on July 25 and August 1.

Who could St Mirren play in Conference League?

This is where it gets complicated. A total of 102 teams will be involved in the second qualifying round.

The draw will be split into the Champions Path and the Main Path. St Mirren will be in the Main Path alongside 87 other clubs.

The Champions Path features the 14 losing clubs of the Champions League Champions Path first qualifying round.

The 88 clubs in the Main Path will be split into seeded and unseeded pots. The seeding will not be confirmed until the draw but it's expected St Mirren will be seeded thanks to Scotland's association coefficient ranking. For reference, Hibs were seeded entering in the same round this season.
