Napoli are set for a major boost regarding Scott McTominay's fitness following an injury scare during last night's match between Scotland and Poland.

The attacking midfielder limped off during the nation's 2-1 victory over the Poles in Warsaw on Monday evening.

The former Manchester United man looked to be in pain as he came on the pitch, with Ryan Gauld being sent on by Steve Clarke in his place.

However, according to Sky Italy, McTominay has declared himself fit for Napoli's game this weekend.

After being assessed by Scotland's medical team, the 27-year-old is believed to think he'll be fine to line up against Roma on Sunday evening.
